The 2010 San Diego Canoe Kayak Team
The San Diego Canoe and Kayak Team (SDCKT) is committed to coaching children aged 9 to 18 in the paddle sports of Olympic Canoe and Kayak, surfski and Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP). Senior Members are also encouraged to join in on the fun. Many of our members "paddle for life" with our youngest paddler at 5 years old and our oldest well into his 70's!!
SDCKT has a history of excellence in the Olympic Sport of Canoe/Kayak with many National Championship titles. Quite a few of our young athletes have gone on to race internationally as part of USA Canoe Kayak's Junior and Senior National Team. We have had athletes that started with the team at 12 years old train hard and go on to represent USA at the 2004 and 2008 Olympics.
SDCKT coaches are certified by USA Canoe Kayak, and are experts in the field of coaching any type of paddlesports. Many of our coaches have themselves competed for their country at World Championship and Olympic Competitions.
