USA Canoe Kayak National Team Trials
On Friday, April 22nd and Saturday, April 23rd, 2011 at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista. This was the first step for USA athletes in qualifying for the 2012 Olympics in London. For Information on USA National Team Trials go to: http://usack.org/events/5806/page/11938

USA OLYMPIC TRAINING CENTER, 2800 Olympic Parkway, Chula Vista CA 91915
The Olympic Training Center Boathouse is where you can drop off equipment. Take a right onto Wueste Road off of Olympic Parkway and the boathouse will be past the OTC Athlete Entrance and the first road on your left hand side.
Silver Blade Athlete Check in Time 8am to 9am. Pre - entered athletes only!
Silver Blade Pre-Regatta Meeting at 0915am
Parking: General Athlete Parking will be at the OTC visitor center and their will be a shuttle bus to the Boathouse. You will be able to drop off your Board, Canoe or Kayak at the boathouse which is on Wueste Road. Go past the entrance to the OTC and turn right on Wueste Road. Follow the lake around past the OTC athlete entrance and then turn left onto the road down to the OTC boathouse. Bring a boat/board bag or racks to put your board on in the equipment area.

Instructions for racers:
IMPORTANT: On Friday 22nd April and on Saturday 23rd April the USA Canoe Kayak National Team Trials is also being held around the Silver Blade Regatta. This is the first step for these Canoe and Kayakers in their quest for a berth on the 2012 USA OLYMPIC TEAM.
Please respect the fact that this is a very important race for them and give them every opportunity to race to their best. However, this is a very exciting opportunity for Surf Ski, Stand Up Racers, beginner Canoe and Kayakers to be a part of the Olympic Movement. Please view the Silver Blade Regatta as a type of a National Team Trials in your sport. Consequently you should not be late for your race as the starter will not wait if you are not on the start line, in the correct lane and at the correct time.
We will be providing numbers and number holders for you to attach to your craft. You will need a number on your craft that corresponds to the lane that you are assigned. We will be holding a Pre-Race meeting at 0915am on Saturday where you will be given last minute race instructions and then races will start promptly at 10am.
